FUNDING PROGRAMS
Employment Ontario offers several subsidy programs to assist with re-training or re-employment.
You could qualify for those programs if:

You are an unemployed individual currently receiving Employment Insurance Benefits; or
-
You have had a claim for regular Employment Insurance Benefits end within the past 36 months; or
-
You have had a maternity or parental claim that ended within the past 60 months.

The Terrace Bay-Schreiber Action Centre is pleased to announce the winner of the Logo Contest. Amongst the terrific entries the Terrace Bay-Schreiber Labour Adjustment Committee chose Olivia Speziales’ entry. Olivia’s logo incorporated strong colours, a positive attitude and a message of optimism “For a New Future”. Congratulations Olivia!

The Terrace Bay Schreiber Action Centre recently held its official Grand Opening on Thursday, October 8th at 1:00pm in the Action Centre. There was the official ribbon cutting ceremony and refreshments for all who attended! |

The Terrace Bay-Schreiber Action Centre is a comfortable, confidential, and non-threatening place to visit. Our mandate is to assist displaced workers in developing the skills and knowledge necessary to cope with the current labour market. We provide services such as job search assistance, outreach to affected workers, personal support in dealing with the stress of job loss, and financial counselling.
Needs Assessments
Those of you who have not yet had an opportunity to have a needs assessment can contact the Action Centre and indicate your interest in setting up an appointment with a Peer Helper. This assessment assists the Action Centre in planning for services you may require and it also provides you with direction in relation to questions or ideas you may want to follow up on. Please call 825-3315 ex. 240 or visit the Action Centre to sign up.
Job Board & Work Search Assistance
Job board resources and work search assistance services are offered at the centre. Feel free to drop by our office and our staff will be happy to assist you.
